CMSMS (CMS (Content Management System) Made Simple) represents a radically different approach to content management systems. With "global content blocks" making adding sections of code to any area of the website or specific pages very fast, easy and simple, CMS Made Simple allows you to develop websites at speed, with highly customised and purpose specific structure and features. The templates are compiled using the Smarty templating system, to allow designers and developers to work together more efficiently.

CMSMS has a large collection of plugin packages available for download and theme templates can also be downloaded for free. CMSMS has well developed permission settings which removes functionality and areas from the backend for certain user groups, allowing developers to control what end users have access to edit.

A notable feature of CMS Made Simple is that all templates and CSS style sheets are stored in the MySQL database. Meaning a regular backup of the database is all that's required. While this increases database overheads, CMS Made Simple employs a caching system so templates and stylesheets aren't fetched fresh along with content on every request.
